Hag

Bess Egerton, professionally known as Hag, is a Meanjin/Brisbane-based music producer and session musician specialising in bass, guitar, and vocals.​Known for her warm, nostalgic sound that balances polished detail with raw authenticity, she has played over 200 shows with acts including Red Hill, Haley Marsten, Phia Scott, Lighthouse Mouse, Leevai, Georgie Taylor and The Zon.​ She is committed to fostering safe, inclusive, creative environments for women, LGBTQIA+ and gender-diverse artists, both in the studio and on stage. Recognised by the Australian Women in Music Awards and the Airlock Studios Immersive Program, Hag continues to release original music and produce for diverse artists while championing collaborative, supportive spaces in the music industry.
